Black Ops Call of Duty Video Game Banned by the Military

A couple of weeks ago the US Military announced that they would be banning the popular video game Call of Duty Black Opts. The reason the military is banning the game is because in the multilayer mode video gamers can play as fighters for the Taliban and kill American soldiers. The ban comes because of the families who have lost someone in combat.

Understanding how realistic the video game is I can see why it would be disturbing to those who have lost someone in combat. Playing a Taliban member killing American soldiers in some cases doesn't sit to well with me. But keep in mind it is a video game and only a video game.

Quoting the source I go this information from Independent Bloghorn. "I have never trained in the military but I know that simulated battle and war games are a large part of the training. I have said for a long time that someone should develop a multi-player game that simulates the battles between the real enemies we are fighting."

I like the idea of creating a better more realistic video game simulation of American soldiers fighting Taliban soldiers and visa versa and using this as a training tool which can be of great help to soldiers in the field.
